The Suffering Servant

One of the most beautiful pieces of poetry in Isaiah is Chapter 53, one of the so-called “servant songs.” Its beauty is not simply in the skill of the poetry but in what it conveys. While sometimes the focus in reading the passage is on “how” God restored our relationship through the death of the servant, the true beauty lies in how God could love us like that.
